ABOUT NUGS
The NSW Underground Geotechnical Society (NUGS) was formed in July 2014 to satisfy the demand of an interest group specifically involved in underground coal mine geotechnical engineering. NUGS is a non-profit organisation that has adopted the AusIMM Code of Ethics, with the aim of providing a forum for:

Dissemination of knowledge in relation to rock characterisation, support & mine design, strata management and reconciliation

Sharing and discussing specific industry problems

Identifying, promoting and reviewing research and development

Providing a link between students, educators, geotechnical practitioners and strata support suppliers.
